The last few months have felt like a completely different chapter.
Yes, the family pain is still there. The grief still hits in waves, and the healing is deep and ongoing. But something has quietly changed inside me. My energy is different. I’ve got more life in me, more drive, more forward motion.
A big turning point came when Ollie, one of the gym owners I work with, told me he was going on a calorie deficit to get in the best shape possible before his twins arrived. He asked if I wanted to join him. I said yes.
Since then we’ve been tracking everything together on MyFitnessPal — 1600 calories a day on average, hitting 180g of protein. I started this challenge at 98.5 kg. I’m now down to 94 kg — nearly four and a half kilos lighter since we started. My clothes fit better, I feel stronger, and my confidence is growing every week.
Before this challenge even began, I’d already dropped from 103 kg to 98.5 kg just by installing better habits. Those foundations made this next step possible.
This challenge didn’t just change my body. It changed my energy. I’ve stayed completely away from alcohol. I haven’t touched a vape in over 162 days, and I’ve been nicotine-pouch free for just over 65 days. My nails are looking healthy again.
Doing this with Ollie has made a massive difference. The accountability, the shared goal, the daily check-ins — it’s given me that extra push on the days I need it most.
I’m not pretending everything is perfect. The deep healing is still happening. But I’m moving in the right direction, and that feels really good.
Next week, I start the next level of my programme — Nature of Success with Sam Adams. I’m excited for it.
Right now, for the first time in a long time, I feel like I’ve got real momentum behind me.
